Suspended solids and wastewater clarification
Process overview
BIOZOOM’s microsand system is an independently developed flocculation and sedimentation process for wastewater treatment. It is designed to remove suspended solids, chemical oxygen demand, total phosphorus, heavy metals, algae and color.
The system offers an alternative to conventional coagulation, sedimentation and filtration. It complements biological treatment with clarification targeted at these wastewater contaminants.

Selection checklist
Start with your process.
The following information can support an initial technology-selection discussion. Share what is available; operating conditions and performance requirements need a project-specific review.
Discuss your requirements- Water source, treatment flow and available water-quality data.
- The solids or other contaminants you need to address.
- Existing treatment steps and downstream treatment or reuse plans.
